John：
What's new in the office? Bring me up to date.

Wenny：
Well…Mike took over as head of our company a month ago.
嗯……一個(gè)月前，邁克當(dāng)上公司老板了。
John：
Wow, that's huge!
噢!這可夠轟動(dòng)的!
Wenny：
You don't say. He really is a smooth one! But I heard he has been in hot water with his wife recently.
可不是，他真的很厲害。可我聽說最近他家后院失火啊，他老婆跟他不和。
John：
Well, I think they have been having trouble for quite a while. We all knew it when I was still here.

Wenny：
There's an elephant in the room, and no one dares talk about it since he's the boss now.

John：
I know life is not all roses, but still, that's just too much. Do you think he will pull through?
我知道人生并不總是康莊大道，可他遭遇得也太多了。你說他能挺過去嗎?
Wenny：
Well,I think he will. He is the kind of guy who never says die.
