Mr. Wilson: Madam, I made a close study of the draft contract yesterday evening. I think there are something needs to modify.
威爾森：夫人，昨天晚上我仔細(xì)審閱了合同草案。我認(rèn)為有些條款需要修改一下。
Nova: Which terms?
諾娃：哪些條款?
Mr. Wilson: First, about the terms of payment. Your draft contract says that payment is to be made by D\A. This is not our practice. We prefer to have the payment made by L\C through a negotiating bank in America.
威爾森：首先是付款方式。合同草案規(guī)定付款方式為承兌保單。這不是我們的慣例。我希望經(jīng)美國(guó)的一家議付銀行用信用證付款。
Nova: Good. I will add this to the contract.
諾娃：好的。我會(huì)將這一條加在合同中的。
Mr. Wilson: The second thing I would like to point out, that is packaging. It's stipulated in the contract that all the computer parts should be packed in cardboard boxes. But I think the wooden cases are much safer.
威爾森：第二個(gè)條款，我想說(shuō)的是包裝問(wèn)題。根據(jù)合同草案，所有的電腦部件都用紙箱包裝，但是我認(rèn)為木箱包裝更安全。
Nova: Well, you are right. Is there anything else?

Mr. Wilson: As far as the contract stipulations are concerned, there is nothing more. Thank you very much.

Arden: Here is the final draft of our contract. I'm glad that we have reached an agreement on almost every term in our trade.

Mr. Thomas: Yes, it seems to me we have come quite a long way. However, let me take a close look at the final draft.

Arden: Do you have some points to bring up?

Mr. Thomas: Well,everything we've discussed seems to be here.

Arden: Yes, including a description of the shirts you want to purchase this time, the total amount of your order, the price for each piece, mode of payment, packaging ,shipping time, insurance and compensation,claim and arbitration,and rights and duties for both sides. Are all the terms here satisfactory?

Mr. Thomas: I'll need a few minutes to check over my notes again on every detail. What about the quality standard?

Arden: It is said that the sample 25 is the standard for others. It's complete. So would you like to sign the contract right now?

Mr. Thomas: Sure.
